iPoker Network

iPoker is one of the oldest and largest poker networks, running on Playtech's software and made up of close to twenty skins across mostly European operators. Combined liquidity is strong — tables run at nearly every stake around the clock — though individual skins aren't especially deep on their own, and the field leans more toward regulars than pure recreational networks like GG or 888.

iPoker is the poker network run by Playtech, one of the gambling industry's biggest B2B software suppliers, founded in 1999 by Teddy Sagi. The network itself launched in September 2004, linking together Playtech's existing casino operator clients along with new poker-only sites looking to tap into a shared player pool.

Growth was fast — by 2005 the network already had thousands of concurrent players and ranked among the top five networks by traffic. The real leap came in 2007 with the acquisition of the Tribeca Tables Europe network, which briefly pushed iPoker into second place globally, behind only PokerStars. The years 2006 to 2011 are generally considered the network's peak, cementing it as the largest European-focused network in the game.

Today, Playtech's iPoker network is the world's largest B2B poker supplier, powering somewhere around 80 different operator brands and pulling in roughly 1.5 million unique players. Combined liquidity is still strong even though individual skins vary widely in size — from major sportsbook-backed brands like Betfair and bet365, down to newer, smaller entrants still building their own player base.
